Leaving for central Mexico in a week

Specifically Silao, Leon, Guanajuato area. Anyone from there and any recomendations of live music, music stores or areas of interest to suggest?

The GM plant there builds some Cadillac Escalades which my plant makes parts for. Will have a day or so to kill, so I would like to get out and see the sights if anyone has any recomendations. I have no illusions of bringing home any music store finds, but hey while I'm down there might as well look.

Yeah, but that might be awkward when I get home, not to mention uncomfortable in the East TN heat!

I was down there last year, but don't want to do the corporate tour of strip clubs and watering holes. Would like to explore on my own without wandering into anywhere dangerous.
