LEFT-HANDED COMPLIMENTS

Said to me at a gig last night: 'I thought you were just a bass player; you're actually a musician.'

Edit: Getting sigged can, at times, qualify.

I got one for you.

Your ham-fisted playing really stood out.

I always heard them called "back-handed compliments".

No offense, but I have always heard it as *left-handed*. Mind you, I'm just a bass player. What's more, my drummer(whom I love far more than just beyond dearly)is a lefty. That said, how about 'questionable compliments'?
