Let Me In

If you are fan of actual horror, not just splatter, check out Let Me In! This is the creepiest movie I have seen in a very long time. It's about a 12 year old boy and a girl who is a vampire. This is an excellent movie, horror movies don't usually get maintream awards, but I think this movie does.

The Swedish original upon which this was based was incredible. Creepy, suspenseful, engaging... I usually don't like horror films but this one was great. The new remake looks very good as well if the trailer is any indication.

What about the Swedish original "Let the right one in" ? Have you seen it? Is it better?

I actually just watched the original, and it's not that impressive.

Gotta disagree- I thought the original was fantastic. Sets a very specific mood that the remake doesn't appear to capture at all.

Eh, maybe just not my cup o tea. Euro and Japanese flicks are usually better at getting a real profound "feel" than mainstream American movies.

It's joint project between Spike Lee and Tyler Perry, and alll Itallians in New Jersey get bitten by a 12 year black girl with hoop earrings.

I like Let The Right One In A LOT. I really don't wanna see this. I may rent it down the road.

The book is worth a read as well.

I enjoyed the original one a lot. I wont see this in a theatre, but will probably download it expecting to have it not live up to the original. Why do you have to make a remake of a film that was already good? Are people in america that ________(fill in choice of adjective here), that they can't read ****ing subtitles?

I'll probably go see the remake, but the original was brilliant.
