Let's see the veterans in uniform!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is going around my circle on Facebook, I thought it sounded like a neat idea for OT.

Just post a pic of yourself in uniform - active duty or veteran, retired or whatever. In honor of the US's upcoming Veteran's Day holiday, it could be fun. Doesn't matter what country or service, if you are or were in the military, let's see ya!

I'll start, since I stole the idea fair and square.

Note: If you think your pictures are questionable as far as OPSEC go, then don't post em. Unclassified only!

On the USS Harry S Truman for the 2002-2003 deployment - working on gear and ready to choke a *****.

Presenting the workcenter I helped bring to the limelight for aviation repair innovations to the Commander of Fleet Readiness Centers -

In Oct of 2008, after a presentation for COMFRC (the bored guy in khakis in the middle) and his entourage, along with my chain of command. (I'm the dork on the right in light blue)

All right, that's enough of me. Anyone else?

Partially out of sight at the far right of the second pic (loose long hair - mine was tied back) is the former Oil King, with the porky ex-twidget (and former MAA) in the upper right corner obviously keeping a sharp eye on both of us

Old habits die hard LOL

Right on. Thanks for the call.

First pic is me with all my go-to-war stuff on taking a little ride in a Chinook in Afghanistan last year. 2nd picture is me all kitted up for my 65th parachute jump. 3rd pic is me and my wife immediately following my retirement ceremony last month (20 years).

To all those guys out there still in, and especially those in harm's way today: God bless you guys.

Currently in Cuba, no pics, but hopefully I'll have a bass here soon(Friday I hope!!!) and will share a pic from my room(OPSEC safe). I'll probably have a lot of posts on that bass throughout the year...

Thanks, SFC Parrott!

If I was the enemy, and Pacman was walking towards me in a combat situation, I think I'd pee my pants and start begging for my life to be spared.

May as well throw this one in too.

Obviously posed to look as unprofessional as possible. Hey it was in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

@Pacman: I was assigned to the "old", all-in-one-place 25th in 93-96. Small world, isn't it?

Thanks for your service guys. I'm "vet light", no heavy crap between 1985-1989. Used to call myself a Vet, but with all these young ones who saw heavy stuff, it aint right for me to do so anymore.

BTW, pics werent allowed in my unit back then. Verboten. And we had to scrounge up our own tents "in country" as there was no supply line! A boatload more fun ( and safer) being covert and invisibile. Pretneding we're drunk Russians if caught.

Ah, those were the days when the sandbox was fun.
