But man, I am not talkin Golden Girls. Lived through it once. Same with "Mama's Family", the Vicki Lawrence old-lady makeup vehicle. Hated it then, moreso now.

Honestly, I'm not ashamed to say I did watch episodes off and on (it was one of my mom's "must see" shows). Bea Arthur was an excellent actress and her character was a rock between the comedic pairing of the "one-card-short" Rose and the oversexed Blanche. It was truly a very well done and well-casted series.
This, from a guy who's an adamant "24"/"SG1"/"BSG" fan.  |

The 'it's for old folks' mindset is way off base. It didn't hang around for all those seasons because it sucked.
