Let's talk NES!

I just bought an original NES off of eBay. It comes with the Mario/Duck Hunt split, a Zapper, and two controllers.

I also bought a third game for it: Mega Man 2

I had one as a child, but it broke.

I can't wait to see that clunky, gray box again!

My brother in law rebuilds ones he finds at thrift stores and sells them on ebay. Apparently it's fairly profitable, who knew?

I bought a Logitech controller last week at Target for $10. I've been downloading so many games right now. Too bad it doesn't have as many buttons as a N64 controller.

I got a bunch of NES Games DL'd to my Wii. I like the original TMNT game. The Mario Games are a blast too especially the Third One. I wish they'd release RC Pro Am and 1943 for it though. Those games were my favorites when I was a kid. Try to find yourself the NES Advantage. It is and arcade style controller that is great for fighting games on the NES.

I was an SNES kid, but NES is still fun as hell.

I've been looking for one of those guns for a long time locally.

Have you beaten TMNT ? I remembered it being unbeatable when I was a kid and later chalked that to being young and stupid with a fairly non-existant grasp of the English language. I tried it out recently. It IS unbeatable and it's even crappier than I remembered !

Flaming guy who wanders around ? Check.
Turtle cannot swim in sweres ? Check.
Ridiculous vilain that separates in other small vilains upon contact ? Check
Nothing to do with the movie plot ? Check.
Mind numbing swimming challenge ? Check.

Battletoads.
At least Battletoads had one good level. TMNT didn't even have this due to its crushing suckyness.

I've played NES off and on since it came out. I still don't understand the point of Kid Icarus.

I downloaded this and it seems to have installed fine, but when I open the game list, anything I click just opens a black window that never changes/responds to anything I press, am I doing something wrong? It might be my internet blocking it, I'll see if that's the case.

Hehe yeah, we always got to the final city where you drive around in the car, but never knew what we were supposed to do. It was pretty hard, a bit similar to Metal Gear!

I still have the one I got when I was 7. Its fun to kill some time sometimes. Super Mario 3 is a really awesome game. I finally about a year a ago, beat Super Mario 2 with no warps and no continues either. NES forever.
