I am 19 years old. I watch the interviews. I see the slander. I understand their views. I couldn't care less, honestly. I have problems with government views in general and I feel that the president will not effect my life as an individual honestly. It's like when everybody made a big deal about the new pope. I told a teacher that it doesn't effect me as to who they choose, and they flipped out on me!
I ordered a pizza Friday at work and when I went to pick it up, they asked me who I would vote for. I told them that I was not going to vote and they couldn't have been more rude about it. It's just getting old fast. "Well you are just a teenager, so you don't know." You know what? **** you. Stupid old lady telling me that I'm stupid because I don't want to vote? America has some BIG problems.
Edit: The point of this was me just relieving and asking who else is sick of all the garbage that gets passed through their lives concerning the subject.

No offense.

If you don't care enough about government to do the hard work of being well informed (and that's your right) then the people who are preaching at you about some kind of patriotic duty you have to stand in a booth and randomly pick names of people whom you know nothing about are just being obnoxious.

Luckily, where I live there are some other party choices on the ballot. I am hoping that enough people decide that there ARE other choices and start moving that direction. A lot of people will say that that is wasting your ballot, but if my opinion is expressed, it's not a waste.
With me, the choice for the next 2-4 years will affect me, but to a lesser degree than a lot of others. That said, I do care what happens, I just know that all I can do is plug away doing what I can do and forget everyone else trying to sway you on to their bandwagon.

Again, this thread was just asking who else is tired of people cramming views down your throat, not an argument about government and politics. |

p.s some poeple have died to get the right to vote, i guess people only value what they don't have.
