I'm really tempted to get this phone but after buying the sony ericsson c905 and was let down by the quality I wanted to check with people who have actually used the phone.

I know one person on here who has one but there must be other people, I just wondered is you could post like a mini-review of the performance/build quality etc. I'm particularly interested in the wi-fi/web browser.

Thanks for any info you can give me on this phone

Just as a follow up to the pictures I posted before, here are a couple I took over the weekend, with the macro turned on. Still can't give you any more info about the web browser or wi-fi though...

Thanks, You answered alot of my questions via PM, I'd just like to hear about the wi-fi and broswer some more

those pictures look really good, I think i'm set as far as the camera is concerned.

Are video's easy to watch online? or possible at all? (on sites other than youtube)

Does the phone feel solid?

It is possible to watch videos on YouTube. Can't say for other sites.

Feels solid enough for me. I was surprised how light it was, which I guess might make you think that it isn't solid, but I'm pretty sure that it is.

Oh dear, instead of this thread being about phones it's turned into an old ladies knitting circle...

Apart from putting the "pun" in "punishment", I'm quite impressed by the quality of the pictures there. It really is a camera AND a mobile phone. Cool.

The Renoir has a great cam and vid cam. Not many comments on the browser/wifi. LG normally do have a good'un though. You're stuck with youtube mobile for it.

Quality seems to be hit and miss, however. I prefer the C905 but there has been, yet again, QC problems which is a bummer... The LG also has a noticable returns rate...

There's a few things I didn't like about the c905, The sliding bit felt like it was going to break and wobbled a bit, when on the internet I found it hard to scroll using the keypad, Say if you are trying to find a place on a long page, you had to hold down the button for a few seconds, then it would move so fast you didn't know where you were, then when you stopped you had to hold down to button again, and again I doubt this would anoy other people, It was just irritating for me as I used the browser a lot.

The camera was superb on the c905, I know the LG's flash doesn't do quite as well as the c905 but I'm sure it will be better than my SE k550i's LED flash.

The samsung pixon doesn't have wi-fi so thats out straight away, the HTC touch dimond only has a 3.2MP camera and it has all-touch buttons which could get annoying, my sister has one with all-touch buttons and she keeps ending calls from the phone just brushing against her cheek and the Samsung omnia's 5MP camera with LED flash just doesn't stand up to the renoir's 8MP with xenon flash and all the other things that the renoir's camera has.
