This is a major concern. Libya has had problems of violence against Sub-Saharan Africa immigrants in the past, well before the move against Qaddafi. I do believe some of the anti-black sentiment has to do with anger at Qaddafi because after he failed to make much headway in the anti-Israel struggle, he remade himself into a Pan-Africanist and courted leaders in Black Africa.

On the greater issue there almost always seem to be a spasm of violence after revolutions.

Because in 90+% of all revolutions, the people who seize power are just as bad as, if not worse than, the people they were replacing.

As I said before, I think this killing is blowback from Qaddiffi's policies. This is not unlike the rise violence against non-whites in Russia after the fall of communism.

I think this is getting too political, so I won't go any further. I just hope you guys check out some of the links I posted because I think this story deserves more coverage.

I did not single out black people. The author wrote a piece on this subject. His words "singled out" blacks as that is what the article is about.

So what else is new? This is indeed an issue butas some may know an extremely old one. And no I'm not saying that since it's an old issue that it should not be brought to new light but maybe a thread on your own would be more appropriate.


And since you seem to have an issue with the OP's thread on a human rights issue outside of your America. What are you doing in your back yard to assist in the decline of the black male in today's society?

The above can be said about any group, race, ethnicity, ect that upsets the fiber of any society.
