The two older kids are at my ex's, & the missus is staying over her parent's house tonight with our 3 year old. I am home totally alone - a major rarity. Even threw out the cat.
I've been blasting tunes and playing bass LOUD to songs I know and don't know now for a couple of hours, plus I'm on beer#4 (Brooklyn lager, great stuff) *hiccup*.
Yes, tonight even if just for a few hours, life is good

Glad you're enjoying it, brother.
Turn it up and enjoy!

FWIW, my wife is leaving me home alone for three days this weekend! I've got gigs on Friday and Saturday night which means I can party like a rockstar. Sunday and Monday I'm going to be working on my DIY bass cabs. Frequency response testing! I just can't do that sort of stuff when the wife is around. She always wants to go for walks, watch movies together, go to church, etc. I love her to pieces, but "Me Time" is still very important.
Hope you soaked in all the goodness Relic, no that its back to Dad/Husband time. |

Absence as lack of strife, suffering, worries about the day-to-day life or some contingent situation.
I find that absolutely true.
We're all lucky to live some special moments where we're spared of any worries and we can live the moment, be content of little precious pleasures like a cold, refreshing beer and the best sound we can get, and forget about anything else.
I only wish those moments would happen more often, or to be able to recognise them when they comes. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
