Three jolly sailors from Blaydon-on-Tyne
They went to sea in a bottle by Klein.
Since the sea was entirely inside the hull
The scenery seen was exceedingly dull.

This is pretty funny, and brings back some memories. As a kid in the 70s I was fascinated with Klein bottles and Mobius strips after seeing topology described in a Time-Life book on mathematics (I still own the book).

I'd love to have those for a bar. Serve those to people, watch as they can't drink from it...

The maker of those, Cliff Stoll, has a funny lecture online at TED. He's an astronomer and computer expert, IIRC. http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/237

That man has had entirely too much caffeine in his life.

Fascinating, though.

You, too?
I remember moving into a house in Calais, ME, that still had all the stuff from the previous owners. There was a full set of those Time-Life books!
(This was the latter '60s.)

Reading about Klein bottles and Mobius strips fascinated me. I made the strips and cut them to see if what they said was true.
It was.
