I was walking through my neighbourhood yesterday and I saw a sign in someone's front garden.

On closer inspection it read..

I think someone has slipped in the doggy do...

I think someone needs to go back to school to learn some proper grammar...

Righteous indignation has no time for grammar.

I do agree with the general sentiment of the sign though, dog droppings are bloody annoying.

That sounds exactly like a sign our neighbors would post up.

Funnily enough, I had to study the by-laws relating to dog fouling at University!

I don't think you're giving the creator of the sign enough credit. Note that he used "your" in the proper context in the later part of the sign. The beginning using "you're", should be read as just that: the recipient of this note is being described as dog **** - that's exactly what the writer thinks of the people leaving their dog's poop everywhere. It's actually kind of clever.

I have no problem with it.
The dog walker doesn't want dog crap in their yard so they take the dog to someone else's property to do poop on.
I would totally see it as disrespect to me if someone though it was ok to make my yard into their dogs toilet.

Having neighbors who allow their dogs to crap everywhere, including by my back door, I applaud this sign-maker.

Is it not illegal to leave your dogs poop laying around there? Here you'll get a hefty fine if you don't pick it up.

Yes, it is an offence in the UK to allow your dog to foul in a public place without removing it. A fine of £1000 can be imposed on those who don't pick up the dog's faeces.
