Old news is better than no news. I haven't seen this one.

I hope the 50% commission was worth it. I know I try to get a piece of the door when I can and the worst that could happen to me is a beer bottle without a chicken wire fence.

The fight was called in only 12 minutes, after which 28 fighters were declared dead, while the other 14 suffered severe injuries including broken bones and lost limbs, rendering them unable to fight back.

Sihamoni was quoted before the fight stating that he felt since his fighters out-numbered the lion 42 to 1, that they “… could out-wit and out-muscle [it].”

Unfortunately, he was wrong.
Riiiight, gooooood thinking. Because lion aren't known to be cunning, calculating, efficient hunters. That whole king of the jungle thing was purely political.

LOL!

"the article was taken on face value by a good deal of British Newspapers and Magazines."

"The May 20, 2005 issue of the New York Post"

All the usual suspects.

"Why didn't it make headlines in the US?"

It did! In a Rupert Murdoch paper, of course.
