So if any one remembers my car flipping episode in April, and my truck flipping episode in June, this one was almost to be expected. Except again, to my own car, this wasn't my fault.
I moved into a new house with a couple of schoolmates about two days ago. First night I got moved and went to bed. Second day I spent the day with my friend. Got home at about midnight and pretty much fell asleep right away. My car was parked in the street right in front of the house. About an hour and a half later my roommate comes in trying to wake me up. She asks: Joe, where did you park your car? Huh? Right out front. It's not there. **** balls. I head out the door and there are cops all over, a fire truck, and a bunch of people outside. Everything normal for a lovely night in Pueblo, except my car is gone. Oh hey! says the cop, your cars over here. In the neighbors lawn. With an suv rammed against the side of it.
Apparently the guy was going about 70 mph when he hit my car, smashed it through a huge ass rock mail box, and then lightly placed it under the tree. Only Christmas is far away, and my present is no car.
So I'm also pretty much ****ed right now since I don't have a replacement car. I'm going to call the insurance again tomorrow since labor day is apparently not the day to try and fill out a claim. I only have liability, but this guy had full coverage I think. I'll find out more tomorrow.
Oh, and apparently the only thing that actually saved the ****er's life was the fact that he was so drunk that he didn't tense up and fly through the window.
Anyone want to donate Joe a car? |

Glad to hear you weren't in it though... best of luck with insurance... it's never fun.

Is it a tradition at CSU for people to just be completely crazy when it comes to cars and driving?

The good news, if he was drunk and at fault, is that you'll get full replacement value.
The less good news is that looks like an older car, so that limits what you'll get.
Still, you'll get something, and I would expect you can push to get it soon - he doesn't want a civil suit on top of the DUI charges he'll be facing.

I could be a dink and say the guy did you a favor, considering, and I'd only be half joking, then again, i don't wanna be a dink so nebbermind.
I am just glad you were not in the car. Any which way, that truly sux and I hope you get this resolved quickly and into your next nice, shiny, (padded) Ferrari.

I thought about walking, and ended up tripping on a piece of carpet, so I think I'm out of luck there as well. |

You could probably get a jon on Melrose as a live mannequin or something.
