The video doesn't work for me - but based on the above comments, I say good for her!

Let me introduce you to my friend Tom Willis. He lives in San Diego, and grew up essentially without arms. He has a vestigal stubby left arm with a couple of fingers. but he does everything with his feet - including throwing out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game last summer.

Tom is a very cool guy. he is the only driver in his family - his wife doesn't drive. He walks up to the car, steps out of his shoe, opens the door with his foot, slips the shoe back on, gets in and then closes the door with his feet. He uses foot controls to drive. I've worked with him as a video producer, and he's sharp and fun to be around. Tom has retired from his video production work, and now is a motivational speaker.

I'm proud to be his friend!

Amazing, and she's hot too. Someday she'll make some dude with a foot fetish a very happy man, if not already.

Looking at the report I doubt it was that the reporter wouldn't go up with her so much as that the needed the room to get the camera shots / angles in the cockpit. That was a very small cockpit and if the reporter was in there, there is no way they could have shown "how" she flew.

I'm probably being too hard on the guy. Most likely it was his employer's insurance that prohibited it. Having made many camera shots from inside small aircraft I would have to say that it would have been no problem to get good shots that way.

An interesting thing about the plane she flies .... it is a WW2 vintage design that actually has no rudder pedals. Not many aircraft have been made that way. It's called an Aircoupe.

They got a couple of different angles in the plane (from behind and from the right seat), and I don't think they could have done that with the reporter in there - not enough seats and maneuvering room. I'm sure the videographer went up to get the shots - I've BTDT and you don't need the reporter in the way, you just need to get the visuals to tell the story. This is an easy call when you need to shoot video and have to be able to get different angles.

Or you know...they just stuck two small cameras in the plane. It's amazing what technology can do today.

While this is impressive and all, this is not nearly as impressive as this.

This is cool and all, but I've always been more facinated by Prince Randian:

Johnny Eck:

They're all real. Anyone interested should watch the movie "Freaks".
