With growing disquiet (and often anger) here in lil ole England at the things drivers do when they should actually be steering the vehicle, I thought it would be interesting to find out what the good folk on TB have spotted happening on the road.

Simply using a mobile phone, or reading a map, or a book or eating and drinking are so common-place nowadays that they barely attract a mention.

To start the ball rolling, here's my 'spots':-

Bald headed young guy shaving his head with an electric razor.

Young woman using large make-up brush.

Young woman with mobile phone in one hand and cigarette in the other.

Truck driver doing the same but whilst negotiating a tight turn from traffic lights atop a steep hill.

Buider in tipper truck holding mobile phone in one hand (about 3 feet from his mouth and shouting into) it whilst gesticulating with the other hand.

Over to TB ...

John

Oh yes ... and before the questions start flying, no I'm not driving along spotting these things when I should be driving ... LOL

A friend of mine sprained both his wrists (drunk the night before on a beach, long story short, tit!). He drove home (~50 miles) steering with his knees.

Ive also seen the fag in one hand, phone in the other situation.

I've seen a guy driving in morning traffic on the freeway with one hand simultaneously steering and holding a porno up, and just going to town on himself with the other. It was an interesting way to start the day, for sure.

I like the texting/drinking a coffee/city driving a manual. That one takes some talent.

I saw some soccer mom talking on her phone with one hand, applying mascara with the other, and steering with her elbows. And yes, her kid was in the car. Ah, the bad parenting/driving twofer.

I've hit bowls while driving. Drive with knees on a straight stretch of road where the speed limit is 25, eh, no big issue.
