I think you have a broader definition of "graphic design" than mine.

Uh, nice idea. I wish I would have learned how do that at school, but I could only do things like that as an extracurricular activity and I'm already quite short on time due to school and all the efforts I put in it. But, is that really what one would call "graphic design"?

But hey, I really dig those golden longs and the BigMaple with spicy Marshalls. Yummy!

It's more or less a practice to get good at using photoshop. Using the marque tool to go over parts of the burger, and than replacing it with another image. I decided to get very creative.

Interesting...

The "burger and fries" is completely detached from the background though. The "burger" for instance is 2D, but it's in a 3D environment.

More like photoshop class I assume...in which case he used a variety of techniques to make that, masking, selection, layering, probably some clone tool. I think he'll get a decent grade, unless he has my old professor in which case because its not a close up of someones eyes turned into hungry mouths and collage-ed with a bunch of insane nonsense in sepia tone he will get a C.

Not every part of the burger. All the bass necks are taken from the 2D illustrations of the Fender catalogue I assume. The Marshalls, the Ampeg and the guitar bodies are 3D.
However, maybe choosing a different backround would have made it easier to see it's a hamburger and fries. By now I just realized that they are standing in a garage. Maybe a kitchen table or the counter of an American fast food restaurant chain with typical items on it would have matched the context rather than an empty garage.

That's very supportive.
Been in Belgium to long?

You're to honest and you lose your tact.
That rubs off on you.

I can't judge if this was good or bad. I know nothing of "art".

That just makes the rest look even flatter, it ruins the illusion of depth.

I somewhat agree that a better background would be cooler, maybe a tabletop at Mcdonald's.

However, it IS pretty neat, I like it. I do graphics, too. I'd add a few more fries.

The burger and fries are not bad as far as a concept, but the burger could have been tinted to reflect a burger better, as well as the amp/fry container could be tinted red to look like a french fry box. You could have even messed with an ampeg logo so it looks like a logo on a french fry box. Additionally your background has nothing to do with your subject, therefore we don't know what the hell you are talking about. I mean, what the hell is that background anyway? An open garage with a water heater? You should have put it on a stainless steel counter, beside a fast food bag, or something.

Just saying. What do I know though? All I'm good at are Atozeses's (how the hell do you say that anyway? ). Oh yeah, and I spent about 15 years building websites and flash aps.
