After the couple of threads on weather recently I thought I would share with you lot what we in Scotland had last night

My next door neighbours fence blew in and took mine with it!

There is nobody actually staying there at the moment so I have no idea who is supposed to fix it

I foned the estate agents who were trying to sell it last month but the guy took it off the market. Who wants to buy a house at Christmas?

They are gonna contact him and see where it goes from there.

It would probably been fine if the stupid add on crappy fence hadnt been nailed to mine but it was and when it went mine got snapped in two.

Ah the joys of house ownership lol!

There are power lines down elsewhere in Britain though so at least it was just my fence and I can still watch telly!

Put your kilt on and threaten to sit on his couch while eating pork and beans until he fixes it. If he likes his couch, like any respectful man, he'd fix that fence right pronto.

Was it not Brads Fence? He had the Qintar fix it for him. Might be wrong though.

My recycling bin blew away.

It took five whole minutes to find it.

I have difficulty complaining about the storms we get... threads like this kind of put it into perspective: TB'ers Affected by Hurricane Katrina - Status

Yeah, kind of puts it into perspective huh. A fence vs so much destruction and death

The winds have been a bit mad the last few days. But, nothing compared to what goes on in some places, thankfully!

From a few days back i snapped a picture of my street in the snow, looked quite nice for once!

(and one from the back garden)

Just felt like joining in on the scottish weather side of the thread

About your fence, just pull the two parts apart. Repair your side, and chuck his over into his garden

Your fence is weak compared to his.

I'm guessing you have bilingual street name signs.

Cool pics of your town mohawk. About how old are those buildings?

Also, I don't see a Starbucks, a nail salon, a check cashing store, or a teriyaki place on any of those street corners. What's the deal?

The single story houses look the oldest, early to mid 19th century... fairly standard for the east coast of Scotland.

I don't think there are a whole lot of Starbucks in rural Perthshire...

We do actually, English and Gaelic (bloomin Mod, was years ago, what a waste of money!), familiar with this place?

Not entirely sure to be honest, i think my house is ~180 to 190 years old (im sure i was told that before), and most of the houses around are of the same age.
Could be wrong tho

One rareity with our house is it has old fashioned railings, most of the other houses either only have stumps or newer(ish) railings, because alot were cut down and used in the war effort.

My better half's grandmother lives in the depressing little ghost town that's just to the south of it. So we venture into your town once in a while.

I'd spotted those. Very cool. I wonder how they got away with it?
