| I have quite a few years into political discussion forums and can only say limited amount about it without breaking TB forum rules. I think I can safely say this:
1) All the big forums have an agenda. They are rooting for a particular outcome and while there are certainly fair, insightful, accurate and intelligent comments made at the better forums, they are always surrounded by brainless "Rah Rah for our team, we hate the other guys" comments.
2) If you want neutrality, you won't find it--anywhere. The best you can hope for is to choose several forums (stay with moderated forums) from a variety of viewpoints and visit all of them equally and keep an open mind to new ideas while being skeptical of everything you read. As with anything on the internet, verify, verify, verify.
3) If you are looking for a specific ideology then your best bet is to do a search for [ " (********-ism) " + "discussion forum" ]
4) Better develop a thick skin. Discussion of politics (and religion) gets real mean and there is only so much that can be done to keep it relatively civil, even for the best moderated sites. Be polite--while it's necessary for you to be able to take hard punches from others, if you start dishing out some hits, you'll find yourself quickly banned.
I don't mind answering PMs if you have questions on specifics.
