Looking for a relatively modern 50's greaser movie..

I vaguely recall seeing a relatively small budget flick about a guy who turns up in a small town in 50's and gets in trouble because of his greaser/rebel attitude. Might have been a traditional "big city kid in a small town with a sheriff's daugher" -style setups.

One of the most recallable scenes was the main character making the other kids slip in the roller disco by oiling the floor with his greased hair. The thing is, I haven't found anything about the movie anywhere! I think it was called something like "The Roadrunners". Anyone seen it?

Was it Road Racers with Salma Hayek? I rented it a long time ago, so I don't recall the scene you described. It might be what you're looking for.
