Anyone else excited for the new season to start?
I don't watch much TV anymore, I'm basically down to Lost and Fringe, so I'm happy to see Lost return next week.
The show definitely owes the viewers some answers, like why Richard is immortal. Hopefully they give us the answers before the show ends.

Answers would be nice for a change.

I got sucked into lost in the middle of the fourth season. Had a relative over and she was watching it and I couldn't wrap my mind around it so I had to go back and watch the entire thing. Little did I know that even after catching up it's still imposible to wrap my mind around it. I hope the first eppy is about Richard!
Fringe is also the only other show I watch regularly. That and the Oriely factor.

-Mike | ABC announced 3 years ago that this is to be the last season of Lost. The shows creators have also stated that there will be no spin-offs.
Sure, they could be lying, but I don't see how that would afford them any real advantage, so I'm inclined to believe them.

And I'm confident the show will have a definite end, as it's been promoted that way by the producers and the actors that know of the show's actual conclusions. (Last time I checked Matthew Fox was the only one that the information was given to.)

hopefully richard alpert will still be cool. |

Questions I want answered...
Who is Jacob and "the black shirt man" really?
Is John really dead? (I hope not!)
Who/what is "smokie"?
Will Claire return? Walt?
Is Hugo the variable?
...and a ton more! |

...and a ton more! | i really hope that jacob and McLoophole (best nickname i've seen for him! ) don't really get an explanation. all that really matters is us knowing and accepting that they are demigods or something similar. defining them more than that would narrow the show's scope considerably. ...if you're really interested, evangeline lilly spilled a bean about this, and i'm disappointed with the possibilities the unintentional reveal implies. watch it at your own risk.
also, john is indeed dead. there is pretty good evidence for this, seeing his lifeless body roll out of ilana and bram's casket and all. i think there's a powerful message in his death, and people are really unnerved by it. i really hope that the producers don't undo the message; it's a good one. some lostpedia members have noticed that jacob apparently revived locke once already (after he fell out of the building), so who knows what limits there are to his powers. (though richard had never seen someone revivified, so... there's that.)
we should all expect clear explanations regarding smokie, claire's status (which is totally weird atm), and hurley and miles' powers, at the minimum. i'd also like to find out about walt's powers, too, but if we get hurley and miles down, we can probably just extrapolate to walt.
it only ends once! i'm excited. |
