Dont know who saw it but
Spoiler alert if you did not see it yet-
What I got out of it-
Richard is an Egyption , possibly Jacob, or they are just time travelers?
Locke is really Charles Widmore now?
He said he has been trying to get back for years
The statue was destroyed by the bomb
Everyone will wake up like it never happened, but with Deja Vu and odd flash backs. |

Locke is not Widmore. The alive Locke (not the one in the container at the end, who IMO is the real one) is that other guy Jacob had been talking to at the start of Episode 16. And IMO just like how Richard answers to Jacob, Widmore answers to that guy(who i guess can shapeshift.)
Jacob and Richard are Egyptian, and i have a calc test tomorrow.
Hover, I think you should go on a marathon when this is all done. By far, one of the most EPIC, thrilling shows you will ever watch. As long as you have a brain, you should once again enjoy this beast of a show.
The last episode will be too good. |

anyhoo, i don't think anyone's egyptian. well maybe, but i have a theory. jacob and the other guy at the beginning (like televisionwithoutpity.com i'll call him esau for now) are closer to greek gods in their identities. they're like polar opposites (yin/yang, chaos/order) who can't stand each other but can't kill each other. not directly anyway. and all the island's past has been social experiment after social experiment for them to see who's right about human existence. esau put the dharma/time travel/others group thing in place just so he could find a loophole and get someone to blindly follow him enough to kill jacob. really don't know what the whole nuke thing's gonna do though

| | | | I like the whole shape shifter Mystique thing as it would all make sense Locke, Ben's daughter, everything as to way it all lead the way it did.
I missed most of the beginning beach scene. What did they talk about?
It has to be a clue to all of this. |

If so, they are seriously trying to grab on to Wolverines coat tails. While I consider it cheap to do so, props to the writers for thinking that far ahead.

| | | Some interesting ideas here- http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune....ocke-jack.html
Richard was on the Pirate ship that sailed by.
Locke could not die on the island.
The smoke monster is the spirit that is all the dead people and is bidding them to kill Jacob in a cat & mouse, good vs evil game of humanity.
The hatch had Quarantine written on it, babies can't be born on the island (radiation from the nuke) so they still build it and everything still takes place.
Its pretty incredible if all these little details are tied together with reason, rather than adding willy nilly mystery behind mystery just for the sake of creating mystery and playing with viewers without a good end game.
If all keeps going it could be the best series to watch multiple times to understand and connect dots once it is over. That fact makes it hard though for someone to just "jump in" on the series. |

| | | | I was at a store and saw some magazine proclaiming the best TV series ever.
I rewatched the beginning of the last episode and observed-
Jacob has been bringing people to the island to test them for a long time for some kind of challenge.
Jacob wore white and the other guy wore black.
The guy in black uttered the same words Locke did about finding a Loophole, so it is pretty obvious he is Locke. |

. | I think you're right on all those points - it's great TV for those with a brain who are prepared to put in a bit of effort and not sit there like a couch potato!!
I watched it last night and was riveted - I almost cried when Juliette had to let go ...
In a way it could have ended with that last moment as the bomb goes off - but I'm glad they didn't as there are many more questions to be answered - can't wait!!

You missed probably the most crucial scene to the whole series!!

I also think the "Other Guy in Black" is also Christian (Jack's Father re-born)
I can't wait until the new season!!!!! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
