My mother passed over in her sleep last night at the age of 87. She had been in good health, so this was sort of a surprise, although at 87 it was also not a surprise.
I'm pretty much in shock. We did not have a close relationship, and I like to think that I resolved most of my family-of-origin issues, but still, it's a big deal, and it's hitting me.

For sure give yourself a break if you start feeling like there was more you should have done. There is always more. And you can still do it, but for you. |
