Did she entertain herself by listening to records by The Turtles? I guess the first song they played after finder her was "Happy Together" by The Turtles (about as close to a tortoise as it gets in the music world.)

I wonder if the tortoise had its own little top-hat and cane? I couldn't resist, especially after seeing the story comments; ya just cannot help but think about that 1955 WB cartoon.

"Hello, my baby....hello, my honey, hello, my rag-time gaaaaaaaaal!!!. Send me a kiss by wire...baby, my heart's on fiiiiire!"

I have a pet rock that I've had since 1970, no water, no food, and yet it seems to be thriving.

Food and water are greatly overrated.
