So long story short I got busted on the light rail withour a ticket. Freaked out I lied about who I was but then admtted I was lying and told the truth about my identity. He said it was a felony t do that bu is that true? If its a misdemeanor t lie to a cop then how is it felony for rt?

| | | | The ticket offenses say no ticket it has the penal code for trespass which is accurate and it also says false id on it which may have to do with me not having my id on me or it could also be from my panicked lie. But he didn't place me under arrest or anything like that but he was threatening me a lot. So I don't know

The value in trying to get by without choosing to take shortcuts is that one will have to learn many new things to make work-arounds work--which in turn reduces the need to take shortcuts... |

Doing some volunteer work in one's community is an effective way to spruce up one's image and network with interesting and caring people who are motivated by more than self interest. We are often defined by the company we choose to keep... |

That being said, I agree with the "don't commit crimes for stupid reasons" school of thought. Also, cost benefit analysis. "If I commit crime A (let's presume it's a mala prohiba not mala in se crime) what are chances I will be caught, what would the consequences of that be, and what would I gain from committing it?" So jaywalking on a deserted street to save a long walk in the rain might be worthwhile: low chance of getting busted, small consequences, and good reward. But riding a rail car without a ticket might not be. |

If you're lying you could possibly be a terrorist trying to conceal your identity. Actually, lying about you identity will almost always lead to trouble. Not a good thing to do. |
