Anyone else digging this series as much as I do? Awesome character development and many of the people I've talked to who were alive during the time period portrayed in the show say that it's pretty accurate.

For a while, I thought the whole plot device of Don Draper stealing his dead commanding officer's identity was absurd, but I really like the direction in which they took that this season.

Anyone else a fan? Anyone hate it? lol

It's one of my top 2 favorite shows. In fact, that and Sons of Anarchy are the only 2 shows I really watch. It's a great show and I always have to watch the episodes twice to catch all the little nuances.

LOVE it!! One of the best shows ever, IMO. Great acting, great writing, great everything. Besides, I never get tired of watching Red (Joan) in her tight dresses.

True story: The house they use for the exterior of Draper's is across the street from my boss's house.

Ahh yes, Joan. Even though I'm a redhead kind of guy, I'm definetly a huge Peggy fan. Actually, it's interesting how both of these two women assert themselves in a male-dominated world in order to succeed when the cards have been stacked against them. Joan uses her sexuality to get ahead, but she doesn't do it in prototypical slutty way. It reminds me of how Madonna used sex to sell records, but she was totally self-conscious and unapologetic about it. Peggy, on the other hand, succeeds on the basis of her intellectual and professional merits. She's very prototypical feminist, but I don't think she indentifies herself as a feminist. It will be interesting to see if the writers take things more in that direction as the series progresses.
