Any users of the device here? My wife and I want to cut out our phone and go to VOIP, which this device allows you to, for twenty bones a year (forty the first year including the device purchase). Comcast is scalping us (we think) and now is the time for savin'.

You have to have an Intel-powered computer, though, no PowerPC allowed on the bus. Which means we have to change computers if we decide to go for it. BUT it's nice to know that the savings on the phone bill would pay for a new Mac Mini. Oh, and a certain credit card will give me zero interest so I'll use their nearly-free (2% transfer fee) money.

So, anybody have one or know someone who does? I want to make sure there aren't significant issues before I go buying a computer. My Sawtooth 400 still works ok for what most of what I do, otherwise.

I think the $20/year claim sounds too good to be true.

I also think that there are enough restrictions mentioned to make me wonder how well the device actually works.

So far I know one person who's wife uses one for work and claims no problems with audio or service. I'm looking for more data before I risk it.
