I've never been a big fan of giant spiders.
On a side note, I've seen programs on the Discovery channel that go into the seasonal spider problem in parts of populated Australia. What's the deal? http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=651337

Agreed. One huge furry one challenged me Saturday when I was outside changing a light bulb. Little did he know I'm a smart tool using monkey with duct tape, bug spray, and long handled screw drivers.

my mother insists that i was bitten by a black widow when i was like 3 years old (she says i had the same bite mark as a friend who was bitten) but i dont think it really happened.
I once found a dead spider in my yard...
since i was sure that he was dead, i got to get a close up look at him. it turns out that if you squeez their opisthosoma (abdomen), it forces the legs to curl in, almost like pulling on a tendon or something. |

EEeEeeEeew.
I really do have this habit of bringing up centipedes in every single spider thread ever. (It's my thing) but how do you feel about these things then?
They're the only thing that scares me more. Plus they bite like a mofo and can run fast enough to break the sound barrier..

sometimes i see them in my bathroom too.
i know that this sounds like the traits of a serial killer LOL, but centipedes are really fun to blow torch...
you give them a half second blast from a MAPP gas torch and all the legs are instantly burned off. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
