Damn, dude - this is why I hate Christmas.
On a related note, I walked by a Best Buy yesterday on my way to Thanksgiving diner, and there was already a line of about 50 people waiting to get in at noon. Some were in tents, so I assume they had probably been there all night already. What the hell?
Sad, sad, sad.
Personally, I am not buying any presents this year, and I'm not giving out Christmas lists. I'm baking cookies for my family and friends - most of us are doing something similar. We're all sick of the giant commercialism that is Christmas every year, and most of us now fall in to the "it's the thought that counts" camp. |

I'm building a couple of people some FX pedals, building the girlfriend an amp and so on.
Sure, I still bought things to do this, but I'm not going out and just hording gifts and handing them out.
I also did not and will not give a list or "ideas" out for what to get me.
I'm glad all of my friends have the same ideas as I do. Now if I could just convince my family as well... |

this incident happened no more than 10 minutes from my house, just a town over (valley stream, border line of queens and not to far from brooklyn). doesn't surprise me, considering who shops there.

Actually, I do most of my shopping online now. Save a ton of time and hassle.
