Reminds me of our buddy who got arrested for throwing a football around on an empty street last Summer. When he showed up for his appearance ticket the judge read the brief, covered the mic, whispered something to the bailiff, muttered "that <expletive withheld> kid AGAIN!?!?!" He says "court will take a 20 minute recess!" into the mic and stormed out of the room. When he returned, he had the rookie cop/moron in tow and made him apologize for wasting everyone's time in front of the court.
Turns out junior had already been reprimanded back down to desk duty in the county courthouse!

So anytime you hear politicians start to "talk tough" on crime, IMMEDIATELY write them off as both short-sighted and self-serving. I really have almost zero respect for both cops and lawmakers these days... neither group seems to have a clue.. the story just underlines the vindictive nature of the United States "Justice" system. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
