Ok, granted, it was "just" a black bear, but still, the dude had already been gnawed on. |

The sad part of the story was that there was an animal rights group that was trying to get him changed with killing a bear out of season.

Last night, my wife and I were walking our dog. All of a sudden we were accosted by a pit bull and a second, larger dog (unsure of breed). I was able to distract them enough until my wife and dog could get to a house and call the police. At one point, I was certain that the pit bull was about to pounce. He was a foot from me, snarling and ready to attack. In that brief moment, I was thinking, "I'm never walking without a weapon again." Fortunately, a car distracted them enough so that I could get to that house and pick up a small fireplace log. I was able to avoid what I was sure was an inevitable attack.
So I'm very impressed with this guy who killed the bear. But I feel so horrible for that poor woman in the chimp attack.

that lady actually thought it would be a good idea to live with a live animal.
i can't believe an animal rights group would be that dumb. they should go live in the forest for a year. |

But I feel so horrible for that poor woman in the chimp attack. | If you life is truly in danger from a dog such as a pit bull and you are willing to sacrifice one of your arms, pit bulls are relativity easy to kill. Let him bite onto your forearm (their jaws lock) then get on its back, put your free hand on the back of its head and try ripping your other arm free. They have weak necks so this should break its neck, might take a few tries. Your arm will be messed up, but you will be alive.

However, what you say is true, break the things neck, or try and stick your boot to it.

This probably wont work on a pit bull, because of how strong they are, but on most other dogs this will work quite well. It will rip their chest open.

lowsound | Ya really think that if I was being attacked by a pitbull I would remember all that?!
But, good post. Even if I'm rather attached to my arm.
