Well you'd think with this proof they would simply demand he change prescripts and get back on the field.

Maybe they just realize he's a prima donna they overpaid for...and wanna make an "example".

Its pretty pathetic that he went with the Barry Bonds excuse. I wish one of these guys would admit they knew what they were doing.

I wonder what it was he took. Rodney Harrison was out for 4 games for using HGH. That's 1/4 of the NFL season so about 40 MLB games would be an equal amount. If it were really for "health reasons" can they apply for an exemption? Like if he needed to use an inhaler for asthma (sp?) or something?

Not that I am a Yankee fan, but it is nice to see that MLB is punishing people no matter who they are (not just Yankees). On another note, anyone out there feel like David Ortiz was juicing before and now he is struggling because he is off his cycle? Every time I see him swing at a pitch it is painful.

Worst part about this for me is that I have Andre Ethier on my fantasy team.

Oh man, get that trade done immediately!!! Unless you feel good about Juan Pierre hitting before Ethier, although he could move up in the lineup...

Yeah, but you know someone is going to wonder out loud if he was using in ohh.....say 2004 when he helped your Sox win the WS.

Not someone, just about everyone around here. I hope not, but honestly wouldn't be surprised that Manny and others were juicing in '04. Baseball needs to clean this up soon.

Since we're all thinking out loud....any of you Sox fans know what happened to Ortiz? He was a ball of fire for a bit there, and when all the steroids stuff started being revealed, all his numbers started dropping off.

Manny was using hCG. That seems to be what you take after you are getting off steroids.

It could just be that age has caught up with both of them and Manny turned to chemistry while Papi stayed clean. Papi is missing balls that he used to clean out, the power and timing is starting to come back but he is at the age that decline starts to show. I really, really, really, don't want to think about Papi and PEDs - that would suck.

If you look at Manny's numbers in the last 2 seasons with the Sox and then last year with the Dodgers - huge jump that is probably explained by more than just crappy NL pitching.

MLB is a joke. A once proud game that now has more roids in it than the WWE.

Isn't Big Papi coming off surgery and some rehab?

Yes - great point. The wrist tendon was repaired. That sounds like the kind of thing that would mess with your timing for awhile.
