 Is it normal for site owners to barely ever post in their own forum? I thought he would at least give some normal advice and get into conversation but he only posts for admin/mod reasons. |

They prefer to have mods and admins in place to deal with the day to day operations. Not being involved in the forum operation allows them to focus on the business side of things, advertisers and generating revenue. |
