That arrogant little #*#)#! is now history. GOOD. Never liked him or his attitude. I'm usually not one to come on this way about coaches, but he started poisoning the well the first day he took over.

Wait! If it wasn't playing the Packers that precipitated the firing, what was it? Was thinking maybe Singletary was gonna get canned after the Niners game Sunday!

One of the BIG questions was why he gave Peyton Hillis only 13 carries last season - then traded him to Cleveland - where he ALONE has more rushing yards than the whole Denver team. McD has taken endless grief for that - and has deserved every single bit of it.

McDaniels has shown that the "my way or the highway" attitude only sells if you WIN after cleaning house. He came in, got rid of some potentially valuable players and did nothing with what remained. Marshall has an attitude but clearly is very talented player - should have been retained. Hillis absolutely should have been retained. Cutler was kind of a brat and the jury was mixed on trading him - and it's still a mixed jury in Chicago.

He drafted Tebow, but hasn't used him even in the last quarter of blow-outs when he had the perfect opportunity to see what skills he has developed. I and many others thought that was both stubborn AND stupid.

Kyle Orton has put up fantastic passing numbers in Denver, but the Broncos' rushing stats belong to the now-famous Little Sisters of the Poor...so it doesn't matter. Passing stats in losing games don't add up to W's.

I'm wondering if Pat Bowlen will go after Mike Martz or try to talk Jon Gruden out of the booth. McDaniels can go back to coaching QBs, which seems to be something he's good at.

I can't understand NFL coach hiring/firing at all. I lived in CO during the Elway years and even was a season ticket holder for a couple of those years. Elway and T. Davis notwithstanding, Shanahan was lauded as a 'genius' of a coach at the time, as most all championship winning coaches are. Then he was fired years later, because he was the reason they weren't winning?

I think the Broncos deserve a decade in the standings dungeon for exhibiting the shortsightedness of throwing away their greatest asset. And yes, Shanahan is now struggling even with the talent of Donovan. But he will find success in Washington eventually.....before he gets fired, anyway.
