You know what?

I think that was AWESOME.

The twerp's 19. What the FLARGK was he doing with booze in his car? I don't even allow smokers to light up in my car. If they had open intox in my vehicle? Revealed or snuck in? End of friendship right there. The kid, if he's actually telling the truth, should be ending a friendship as well.

Dumbass kids. Man.

Thats the ticket! I have no respect for kids who are bought cars in the first place anyway. Earn the damn thing then you will take better care of it.

Yaay for parents with gonads

She bought the car, she can sell it.
She gave him two rules, and he broke both.

Doesn't sound strict to me. But having booze in your car is not a big deal, it doesn't mean he was drinking and driving. Most likely he had it for when he drives to a party and then plans on leaving his car there. I know plenty of people that have more booze in their car than their car is worth. But I guess you guys still have to be 21 before you can have a drink. Up here, you're legally able to drink for 3 years by then.

Yeah, underage drinking laws here are pretty strict. It's illegal for a minor under 21 to have any booze in their vehicle, even if it's locked up in the trunk. Let's say you're 18 and your dad accidentally leaves a 6 pack he bought earlier at the store in the backseat. Cop sees it during a routine traffic stop. Say bye bye to your license and a hefty fine.

True, Todd. But your youth is far more responsible with alcohol than America's youth. After my drinking experiences with all my Canuckian cousins and their husbands and wives and friends, they got their drinking down the right way. Kids on this side of the border? Back in my high-school days? Nope.

But in Canadia, it is STILL illegal to have an OPENED alcohol container of any sort in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. Empties in the trunk, inaccessible while driving, is perfectly fine. What this kid did was NOT perfectly fine. If he only had it cuz he and his buddies came home from a party, IT SHOULDA BEEN IN THE TRUNK.

Too bad for him. Sorry sucka, get to steppin'.

Even if you are drinking and driving, it doesn't mean that you are driving drunk.

If you would end a friendship over leaving a bottle in your car you are a douchebag.

If any of my friends cracked open a half-pint or even a beer in my vehicle, you bet your ass they're no longer my friend.

I ain't going to lose my license over a moron's foolish mistake.

You really gotta hang out with more Canadian youth then, they like their booze just as much as american youth.

And if you hang out on the east coast, they like it a hell of a lot more! It's just more accepted.
