TBH, I think it's simply a case of these people taking the idea of 'by the book' to beyond the realms of reality, possibility or sanity.

You have this idiocy on one side, then on the other side you have parents strapping fake suicide bomber belts on their kids and celebrating it.
there's idiocy all around these days and I really don't know the answer in regards how to fix it....

If you don't like it, you have options. I'm not sure how this is intruding on anything.
These threads always bring out the paranoid people. What are we supposed to do in these times? Security at the airport and on airplanes is important, I am sure you would agree.

This nonsense is absolutely inexcusable.

| | | | Security is one thing. Stripping people and groping them is totally different. No, I don't want bombs on my planes, but this stuff goes too far.

The Transportation Security Administration is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.
That person will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement. Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.
"Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process," says Sari Koshetz, regional TSA spokesperson, based in Miami.

Question? will watching this video make me want to cancel my trip?

No security measures that we have in place are going to stop the most dedicated. The rookies, maybe, but not the pros. The public doesn't realize how advanced alot of the "bad guys" are and what kind of behind the scenes ties they have. Putting innocent travelers through this is uncalled for.
All of this new security is a waste of time and money, especially when MUCH greater terror threats exist in our country. What's next, armed guards in public parks, restaurants, turret towers outside neighborhoods, full body scanners at Walmart? Let Americans defend themselves.
