Medical scales accurate when zeroed?

These sorts

There's one at my gym but i don't trust the gym when it comes to scales. Figured i'd ask here. It was zeroed before i used it, so it seems legit, but just wanted a second opinion.

Close enough. It's not precise and accuracy depends on how much it has been beat on...even if zeroed first.

The one at my gym is about 1 pound lighter than my home digital scale. I trust it more than the digital one. The one at the gym looks exactly like the one at the doctors.
