Don't get me wrong. I really did enjoy the show's first season. It pokes fun at the over the top mythology and theatrics of heavy metal while demonstrating real affection for the genre. It's also full of jokes that anyone who's ever been in a band can appreciate. The DethAlbum was great. Funny and authentic at the same time. It's even reminded me how much I love heavy music almost 16 years after high school. (It's still the best sound track for weight workouts.) There's now a Slayer channel in my Pandora list next to Django Reinhardt, Bootsy Collins, Art Tatum and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Soooo... I DVR'd and watched all of the Season I stuff in anticipation of new episodes. Now four episodes into the second season... I dunno. It's still funny, but it's like there's something missing. Is it just me?
