I was never fan of Michael but when I saw this special I was really impressed, I have seen the movie three times since then.

i too, love this film!!! (what an entertainer/person)

went to the Imax 3 times on separate dates! the sound system vibrated our genitalia into submission.
(scored on 2 out of 3 dates! thank-you, Michael)

It was so good to see Michael himself in charge; no tabloid crap. Just Michael, the musical and entertainment wonder. I miss him.

Yeah. Funny enough. I'm watching this right now. It's amazing to see exactly how hands on micheal is. Music. Dancing. Production. The guy was on a different level.

Not to mention the musicians are monsters.

Here's a question...

I noticed on alot of the songs the bass does not sound like a bass guitar but a keyboard synth. On those songs are they played with an actual bassist, I assume using an effect pedal, or is keyboards doing the bass part?

Alex Al doubled on Keyboard Bass AND slab. There's a past bassplayer mag issue that details his setup.
