Michael Jackson's This Is It

Anyone else see this yet? I went last night with my girlfriend and we both loved it. I am not that much of a MJ fan, but I was simply awestruck to see him rehearsing like that. The way that it was all his vision and he was so hands on. I think the whole movie shows how great of a performer and artist he really was. Not to mention that it must have been really intimidating for all his backup dancers.

I just saw it. It was mind blowing.. inspirational and sad at the same time. His band was absolutely killing, especially Alex Al on bass and Orianthi Panagaris on guitar...

I feel sorry for MJ because it seems like he was a sensitive soul with good intentions... maybe just a little misunderstood. It was great to see him at work... sprightly and happy — not someone who was frail and on death's bed.

It's a shame that the dancers and performers didn't get the chance to go on tour, but they clearly had the experience of a lifetime and have been immortalized in film.

Really worth seeing.

I am going to have to buy This is It. I see Wal-Mart has it for $10. It's too bad that he didn't allow more people to see him as an artist instead of a curiosity during the last 20 years of his life.

That would have been quite the show. That band was incredible and Michael still had it at 50.

He had a lot of other things to deal with first before he could come back to performing.

For those who may seriously be interested in checking out some aspects of the obstacles he was dealing with.

It is true, for my entire life (I am 21) I have really only known him as the butt of jokes, not as the artist and performer that he was.

Nope. South Park did a good job ending Micheal Jackson for me. I'll probably hear about it from my roommate though, he's a big MJ fan.

That is what they are saying. Go see it if you have the opportunity.

I haven't seen it yet, but I am planning on it. I was a huge MJ fan from the Thriller and Dangerous eras. Both simply amazing albums. The production on Dangerous is pretty freaking outstanding as well!

Agree, but Dangerous raised the bar I thought. It won a grammy for the engineering.

yep,..went with my eXe and we had a ball even tho her boyfriend was texting her every ten minutes to check up on her, lmao.
MJ was murdered if you ask me! this tour would have knocked the entire entertainment industry on its ass... all current popstars would be forced to upgrade their productions!!!! if you see it, you REALLY see it. THIS MOVIE WAS THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN,..... im 53 and have seen all the greats,... now i realize that most of them SUCKED!!! MJ crushed them all.

I've seen it, and the movie was great as an insight into a big production.

I saw it. Some stuff was cool, but as a movie, technically speaking, I thought it was horrible. But it was nice to see the stuff he did for the tour and how the band etc. responded to his instructions.
