Question Michael Moore?

Sign in to disble this ad
I don't personally agree with all his politics(theres not any one person that i completely agree with) but i find his films kind of entertaining. I'm looking forward to Capatalism: A Love Story. It doesn't seem to have such a radical view as say Fahrenheit 9/11 and looks like something more people can agree with what with the questioning insurance companies like AIG. Thoughts?

His films are very one sided and focus on extremes, but I do enjoy them.
he also does a fantastic job at manipulating idiots with them.

Good films.

Bad politics. (i agree with some and dissagree with others)

Love arguing with the dolts that blindly follow him though... i call them Moore-mons.

I like his up-front parts the best. (I.E. returning bullits to Wal.Mart, Asking senetors to enlist their kids, going to CUBA! to get medical attention...)

I think he is really good at what he does. I happen to like much of his politics, but one doesn't have to like his politics to admire his skill. Afterall, Rush Limbaugh is really good at what he does and so is Glen Beck (although I think he would annoy me even if I liked his politics!)

I agree with a lot of what Moore says. I also disagree with a fair share, for the record. He's like PITA though, in that he's such an extremist and goes so over the top that what he does turns ridiculous and loses a lot of validity.

...But not NEARLY as much as a hypocrite as PETA. 100% agreed on loss of validity though.

It's fun explaining to people how much PETA sucks and that i am, in fact, a vegan.

Yeah, PITA folk are nuts. it's a shame too. I am a big animal rights advocate, and I feel they could be so much more effective if they weren't made up of such nuts jobs.

Thank you for your contribution.

If someone else was presenting Michael Moore's topics I would guess they would have more of an impact and validity. It's just that Moore is on the fringe and that takes a toll on credability.

Haha, Penn and Teller are on the same level as Michael Moore though... Entertaining but pretty dismissable.

Sometimes Michael Moore just annoys the sh*t out of me. But I have to say, it's good to have somebody out there with some visibility and exposure stirring the pot.
I think he would be more effective sticking to his sort of "low rent Ralph Nader" thing as a corporate watchdog.
Anybody remember "Crackers: The Corporate Crime Chicken" from TV Nation? Brilliant!

That's because idiots are easily manipulated, regardless of their affiliations.

This.

I loved it when he confronted Charlton Heston in Bowling For Columbine. Chuck graciously invites Moore into his house, makes him comfortable, and the next thing you know Moore is calling him a murderer for being the NRA chief. He's lucky Chuck gave him a polite brush-off and didn't pop a cap in his ass.
