You guys suck. Everyone knows the UP should belong to Wisconsin. Hell, at least it's actually connected to us, unlike you guys only connected to it by a bridge.

There are a ton of us! Vic, Shelley, Mike, Ken, Chris, Burk, Rob, Matt and a few more I can't think of off the top of my head. They're all great folks, and we've met more than a handful of times, most of us. We've got some seriously smokin' chops in the bunch too. Every time I hang out, I spend the next three weeks woodshedding, it seems.

FYI, a new band I'm getting together is playing an Open Mic in Birmingham tonight, at Dick O'Dowds. It's our first time playing live together, and it'll be a short set consisting of a few covers and a couple originals, all acoustic/folky stuff. Drop me a line if you feel like coming out.

O'Dowd's... I wanna say I know where that is! DAMNIT you couldn't have a gig on a night that I'm not trying to build pedalboards for my bandmates, could ya? LOL I'm really bummed now! I'd love to come hang out, but I'm crunching time as badly as possible, to build a pedalboard for Tony so he can be nice and quick setting up at this Friday's show. I'm slowly working my way through the band, helping out with some engineering and rewiring and stuff. And I'm trying to get it all done in one week.

BAH HUMBUG. I wanna drink a tasty beer and just get lost in music tonight. Not fair.

Dick O'Dowd's is on Maple just west of Old Woodward. Stop in if you manage to get your crap done... the last time I was there started around 9:30. I'll drop you a PM with my number in case you decide to come out. Most of the guys are folk, old pop rock, etc. We'll be playing some of our own stuff, as well as a Greatful Dead tune, some Ben Harper, and a Weezer song, all acoustic.

It's our first show out, so it'll be a little rough around the edges, but I'm really excited about the music we're writing and the chemistry with these guys.

I know you're generally more into the harder rock stuff...You should come check out my other band, Obscured. We've been playing hard rock on the Detroit Scene for a few years now, all over town. Wouldn't call it metal, really, which I know is your thing, but definitely heavy stuff. What's your band's name? And where are you playing? Chances are, if you've been playing around here a while, we might have even played together.

Oh, and Dick O'Dowd's has GREAT beer...

Where abouts are you at, anyway, Bryan? I recently moved to West Bloomfield, but I lived in Farmington Hills and Westland before that, and I grew up in South Lyon.
