This was a low pass that he used the flash on.

That was the end of RC planes for me. | That sucks!! I'm flying electrics these days. They're not immune from going up in flames either but are easier to set up and less messy.
Several people have PMed me, here's the link to the company that makes the kit. It's an easy build and you can learn to fly it using simulator software. It uses elevons only so handling is different than a typical rudder/elevator/aileron plane. Basically you have roll, elevator and throttle. In the videos on the website, they are flying slow......believe me  The biggest challenge with this plane is keeping it within sight and maintaining visual orientation. It has a very broad speed range. At slow speed it's very docile and gentle spot landings are easy. http://www.yardbirdrc.com/
Here's the plane itself. It has a 24" wingspan and is about 36" long.
