So I recently got all three seasons (so far) of the Mighty Boosh for Christmas, and watched all the episodes. I think it is one of the funniest shows in recent years, but that is usually the case with comedy from the UK.
I consider myself a huge fan of British comedy, and this joins a long line of my favourite series and films within the genre. The Goon Show, Monty Python, The Young Ones, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, and now the Mighty Boosh.
Here are some of my favourite quotes, musical numbers, and general moments from the show, ...
*Just about anything with the Hitcher (my favourite character)
*Ice floe, nowhere to go! Ice floe, nowhere to go!
*The running gag in Tommy - "We all die. Or do we die?", etc.
*The Hitcher's rap song.
*When Howard, brainwashed by the Yetis starts singing a hippie song, Naboo says "Don't worry, my mind's like a fortress"...and then HE JOINS IN!!! It was also funny to see Vince thinking, "what the hell?" and joining in too.
*Rudi and Spider's New Sound song that sounds kind of like a cross between U2 and Soundgarden (the Day I Tried To Live)
*Tony Harrison
*"I love the chosen one/I stick my fingers up his bum"
*Old Gregg's obsession with Howard.
*The Eels song
*"I Did a **** on Your Mum", where Vince's singing style devolves from Johnny Rotten to scat singing.
*Future Sailors
*When Howard and Vince decide to do a Medieval bit, and are booed by the audience.
*Crimpity, crimpity, **** YOU
*The Crack Fox
*The Bouncy Bouncy song
If there are any Boosh fans here, feel free to post! Though there might be more British and Aussie fans than US fans.

To my knowledge, the Venture Brothers hasn't aired in Australia (at least not on SBS where it would most likely be) but it's on DVD here. So is Metalocalypse.

They only do it because they don't understand the British humour. Most Americans are as stupid as their last president.

Most Americans are as stupid as their last president. | Does this mean that because I like and understand British humour, I'm smarter than most of my countrymen? I'm not that bright, but most of what I watch is on BBC America. Our last president was no genious, but I don't believe humour/wit has much to do with I.Q. I know some rather dense people who love monty python. And the fact that our school system has pretty much evaporated can't really be factored in here either...
Edit: I agree though, there's no way an American version could in any way match the original.
