I know there was a thread... but I couldn't find it. I think i spelled it wrong but whatever.

Either way, I'm absolutely addicted to this stupid game.

Who else?

I remember seeing someone make a 1:1 scale model of the Starship Enterprise.

Never got into the game myself.

I made a giant pirate ship once, and the death star.
I can't wait for the official release, I really want to see the multiplayer aspect, I just hope that there are no griefers.

He's the guy that made them. I think he's the one that made the Enterprise, too.

My 11 yr old son loves Minecraft

He uses the Beta, de-compiles and changes their java code to add new features, and hosts the new code on his own server.

Dude is hard core! (seems so is Minecraft)

OT: he had previously been programming Roblox.com MMP, but I think that is more oriented towards kids. (and TB'ers? )

I love that game. I was building a giant TARDIS when the server reset and lost it all.

oh the hours i have lost to that stupid game. my 15yr old turned me on to it. rarely does one of his games intrigue me, but boy this one did. i have lost a lot of sleep, but i have built some sweet stuff.

its also the reason i am rarely at TBOT anymore!

Well, mr Fancy Pants, you might be as pleased as I am to learn that there is FortressCraft in the works. Although it's early, I'm totally sold on the idea. I just hope it gets done well and it's ported to the PC at some point.

FortressCraft

Haven't played Minecraft in a while actually, but here is my last decent project I did a few months back:

Pretty much.

But you can also use the legoz you mine to make tools and weapons and other stuff you can use.

It's good fun, and the potential is pretty massive. Like someone already said it's no Dwarf Fortress, but it certainly has a lot of depth and can keep you occupied for.. months.

To see just how massive:

Minecraft - Outside the Blocks Episode 6: One Build to Rule Them All - YouTube

Basically, they are creating all of Middle Earth in game, 1:1. Currently it takes 12-14 hours (real time) to walk across the entire map. Pretty much blew my mind several times.

I've got the Beta as well, but I can't get into it for more than an hour, and the most in-depth thing I've done in the game was plant trees 64 blocks into the air.
