A minimalistic video editor?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all
I'm looking for something able to cut fragments from video files in order to reduce their size. Just that, no bells and whistles, and I'd ratehr have it done quickly. I tried to use Windoze Movie Maker, but the output was out of synch (4 hours of machine time wasted!). Does anyone know anything like that?
(Yep, I don't have a mac, it should be for win or linux)

Go to Sony and grab a free 30 day trial of Vegas.
Movie maker is not a usable tool. But the skills you learned playing with it will make working with Vegas much easier.
Good luck,
Dirk

That's funny, I suggest the opposite. I really don't like Vegas, and I love Movie Maker. I've done lots of editing on it, as well. But try going to download.com and see what they have to offer there.

Quicktime Pro allows you to do what you want. No time line you just cut and paste in a player window. As far as I know it's available for Windows as well as Mac.

That's what I was going to sugguest. It's about as minimal as it gets, and does exactly what you want.
