do you attend games?
my local team sucks but i try to make it to a few games a summer.
they used to have promotions with free general admission if you find out where the tickets are being given away. this year they built a new stadium and put an end to all that.
my local AA team is the Drillers they are a farm team for the Colorado Rockies.

But I went to a AAA Round Rock Express (Astros affiliate) game a year ago and had a blast. I had amazing seats for 1/4 of the price of a regular Astros seat, and beer was only $2, unlike the extortion prices they charge at major league ballparks.

Back when they were the Tigers, they were the Oakland A's AAA affiliate. I got to see all the A's stars from the 90's play there....Canseco, McGwire, Blankenship, Javier, Jose Rijo, Bordick, Polonia, Van Poppel, Weiss, and more. I could go on, but that's enough.

They have been a rather weak team the past few years since the D-backs have called up my some of my favorite players - Mark Reynolds and Justin Upton. For about 4 seasons ('04 to '08) I made sure to make at least one game of every home series, but being a Braves fan, I did my best to make every game when they played the Mississippi Braves. Unfortunately, my job since '08 hasn't allowed me to make it to many games the past few years.
When I work in New Orleans (about 1 week of every month), I do my best to make it to at least 1 Zephyrs game (AAA Florida Marlins affiliate). I've actually seen them more in the past two seasons than I have seen my hometown team!

BTW, I think we have nearly half of the Southern League represented here in this thread alone.
