MIRACLE NEEDED

Sign in to disble this ad
The strongest person I've ever met has been told she only has a few days left to live.

Her name is Missy Buchanan, she developped cancer while pregnant with her only child. She's been fighting for her life now for 5 years. Her husband has been incredible: continuing his education (she insisted) while working full time and supporting his small beautiful family.

Everything that medical science has to offer has been tried, even experimental treatments, all while Missy maintained a smile and a positive outlook, trying to keep normalcy for her little boy.

At this moment, she's signing a bunch of birthday cards, from a hospital bed, so that each year her son will get one from his mommy in heaven. God, it kills me to type that!

Please pray, send positive energy, whatever... your faith or beliefs don't matter IMO, I know miracles CAN happen. And, a miracle is all that we can hope for at this point.

Please copy and email this to get as many people around the world involved.

Thank you,
Jody

Prayers sent for Missy and her family and friends. Miracles can happen. Sometimes they don't happen the way we expect.
Be strong, Jody

Thanks.

I'm just in awe at the strength this young woman has shown! Yesterday her son was afraid to hug her, the cancer has ravaged her so badly, she couldn't even speak to him, yet still she doesn't crumble. She signs his cards, only thinking of others even at this stage...

My prayers go out to your friend, her family and you. I know the pain of watching a loved one claimed by sickness and pain. The miracle is already happening, consider how she loves her family and thinks of her son, loving him enough to sign birthday cards for him even as she is dying. Wow, I'm speechless.

My father died from cancer on 11/24/09. I'm not religious or spiritual by any means but I wish Missy gets the miracle she needs.

Death might be inevitable for some (it was for my father) but some times death can teach us a lot of things and that can be the miracle. In grade school they'll teach you the miracle of life. In life they'll teach you the miracle of death.

My energy and thoughts go to hers and her family as well as you. May peace be with you yours and hers in the 11th hour. If there is a God, may he bless you and keep you all.

Thanks Markus, and I see what you're saying Jeff. I lost my grandfather in the same way, he was the only dad I ever had. But, at least he led a full life and we got to say goodbye. I got to tell him that he did a fine job.

Whether she passes away next week or in fifty years, it seems that she will do so while leaving a trail of good acts and memories. That, in itself, is a miracle.

My thoughts are with you.

What a brave, wonderful person.

I hope there's a miracle.

If not, it's right to be sad to have lost her. But you should also be happy to have known her.

Very true L-A. The fundraisers that united friends and family, the get-togethers where she inspired us all w/ her attitude... poking fun at her own bald head , I told her it was a hot look!

Aaah man, wow...

Thanks Doug! I would've have mentioned it earlier when we talked, but I can't talk about it. Even though she's only an acquaintance that I met through my fiance, her story touches me on so many levels, that I'm an emotional wreck when I start thinking about her. As a parent, as a person who's lost so many to cancer, it's painful!

I'll pass along all the thoughts and prayers.

Oh man... that is so sad it's breaking my heart. Prayers, good vibes, best wishes and even a few tears go to your pal Missy. God bless her. If there was ever a time for a miracle, this is it. Keep us posted?
