The Mist...

Just watched The Mist. Not bad at all!!! I read the novella way back and usually King movies are never made properly but this one was pretty damn good!!! Shot pretty cool, too!

Cool creatures, effects, etc. Love the part where the dude catches the spiderweb on the leg and peels all the skin off

Great ending, IMO. How the F would you deal with that?!?!?!?!?

Good flick for what it is.

The ending is quite awesome. Not the same as the novella, which had a lot of people's knickers up in a twist, but I thought it was awesome. A lot of emotional impact.

I really enjoyed the movie. I find a lot of the adaptations of King's stuff can be hit-or-miss, but I was satisfied with The Mist. I'd like to see the black and white version to see how it changes the atmosphere.

Black and white would be interesting. I agree, usually his adaptations are crappy. Thomas Jane was pretty good in the lead, too.

My favorite Steven King short story... scary as heck. I look forward to seeing the movie one of these days.

King personally ok'd that ending, as he originally was gonna do just that in the second edition of the story (the one that was in Skeleton Crew) iirc.

It was a solid move. There were a couple of things that I wasn't crazy about, but I enjoyed it.

My wife and I are big Stephen King fans, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the movie. We didn't like the ending at first, but after discussion we decided it was probably something King would've done.

Yes, definitely one of his scariest short stories. I love reading it!
