Hey guys, what are your favorite mixed drinks? Preferably off the wall and provide recipes?
Lately, for me it's been a Gin and Sprite.
But I'm going to pick up a bottle of Lillet White Vermouth today to try the Vesper from Casino Royale:
3 Parts Gordons
1 Part Vodka
1/2 Part Lillet
Shaken, not stirred

I asked for a Bombay Sapphire once and the dude brought me a shot of it with no tonic water. I asked for a gin and tonic with Bombay Sapphire and the waitress kind of laughed at me. I'm not really all that good with mixed drinks, so I just ask for iced tea.
But there was this one a Seattle bar sold back when Randy Johnson played for the Mariners. It was called the "Big Unit":
Bacardi Light
Bacardi Dark
Yukon
Cuervo
Cranberry Juice
Orange Juice
Dang, that was really good.

(Tastes like grape aide but has a kick. Also works mixed with some Sprite)
Purple Hooter
1 part Alsolut
1 part Chambord
1 part Triple sec
1 part Sour Mix
My typical drink this time of year is...
Black Russian
5 parts Vodka
2 parts Kahlúa Especial (or regular Kahlúa is the good stuff ain't around)
Ice |

Gotta go with the Stoli Gimlet
2oz chilled Stoli
Maybe 1/4 oz of Rose's lime juice
Wedge of lime
The Yukon Jack Snake Bite is fairly palatable too. Pretty much the same recipe, but with Yukon Jack and a tad more Lime juice.
The bartender at the bar I'm playing tonight is the supreme master of the gimlet. I think I just might have to get me one. Or two.....

Beautiful...

Edit: I also like Irish Car Bombs a lot as well . |

-Mike | I've had many snakebites (aka black velvet!). I haven't had one in awhile, so perhaps we'll have to have one or two along with the Jager and Jamerson next week! |
